Have your say

She was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar - well, in an Italian restaurant - now she needs you.

Because Bletchley girl Lauren Kealey needs your votes and a sponsor as she bids to be crowned Miss England.

But as 20-year-old Lauren explained, she only entered the competition on a whim.

Lauren said: “It was last year and I was messing around with a couple of my friends.

“My parents had previously paid for some professional modelling shots of me, so I just entered those for a laugh more than anything else and forgot all about it.

“Then I got a call last week to say that I was through to the final of Miss Buckinghamshire.

“I’d love to be a professional model - I don’t know how to explain it but I just love to be in front of the camera.”

Lauren, who is a a former Lord Grey School student, is c urrently training to becomne a team leader at La Collina restuarant in Littrle Brickhill.

But while she needs public votes for her Miss England bid she is also looking for a sponsor.

She said: “Every girl who enters needs a sponsor, and the sponsor’s name will be on our sashes.

“The competition is also raising money for the Beauty With A Purpose Charity, so whoever sponsors me will be helping the charity, will be helping me with my dreams, and will get publicity during the competition too.”
