MORE than 1,500 ladies turned out for the Midnight Moo on Saturday helping to raise around £120,000 for Willen Hospice.
The walk started at Midsummer Place Shopping Centre and finished at the Hospice with women from across the city taking a leading role.
One woman, Gay Hickman-Barr, travelled from Canada for the event after her friend, who took part in last year’s walk, told her how good it was. Torchbearer Sheila Kemble – pictured far left – took part and even brought her torch along.
Hospice chief executive, Paul Hinson, said: “Thanks must be extended to not only the ladies taking part, but also to our support partners and volunteers without whom the evening would not be possible.”
