Business people from all over Milton Keynes will help save lives this winter by displaying their hidden talents at an MK’s Got Talent-style event.
Companies like Network Rail, Baker Tilly and the Volkswagen Group will be showcasing employees who can sing, dance, tell jokes and even juggle.
The show, to be held next month, will boost funds for the Milton Keynes Community Foundation’s Surviving Winter Campaign, which aims to save lives by keeping vulnerable city people warm this winter.
The show is the brainchild of Baker Tilly employees and organised in conjunction with Arts Gateway MK.
“There are all kinds of talented people working in our city companies – now it’s time for employers to show them off, said community foundation development manager Fiona Pizzey.
Each organisation will give a £250 registration donation, which will allow for up to five employees to enter.
Purely for entertainment, the event will have no formal judging and no nasty judges’ comments, said organisers.
The show will take place on Wednesday, November 13 at Bistro Live and tickets priced £10 will go on sale soon.
Terry Saunders from Baker Tilly said: “It’s an opportunity for local businesses to come together and raise money.
“I can’t promise that we’ll find the next One Direction or Leona Lewis but I can promise that it will be a fun night full of laughs.”
