Hip Hop dance moves bring gold to MK

Students at a dance studio have been bustin’ moves on stage in Poland to win their school 15 medals.

On Point Dance Studio, in Oxley Park, entered the European Hip Hop Dance Championships, in Kielce, in central Poland last weekend.

Taking first place in the children’s solo category was James Gbadamosi who won gold.

In the same category, Dante Raymond and Bassy Mashego came third with a bronze medal, Dante in the boys’ category and Bassy in the girls’ category while Adam Mlamali came fourth.

In the popping solo category, fourth place was taken by James Gbadamosi with Adam Mlamali and Joe Green coming fifth and sixth.

In the popping duo category, James Gbadamosi and Louis came third with a bronze medal and Maisie Barnes-Garner and Sam Wilkes coming fourth. Securing sixth place was Jodie Soper and Joe Green.

Finalists in the Mini Kid under eights were Freya Barton, Carlos Hart and Kayden Morris.

Founder and studio principal Samantha Barnes-Garner said: “This is such an achievement for James and On Point Dance Studio. We are proud as punch, not only bringing gold back to England but bringing the gold back to MK and back to On Point Dance Studio.”
