Children at Home Farm Day Nursery took part in a ‘Bake Off’ to raise money for Children in Need last week.

The kids made Pudsey Bear cookies, fairy cakes and chocolate crispy cakes which were sold to parents, staff and visitors throughout the day.

The Nursery chef also joined in the fun by making Pudsey Bear Shortbread for tea.

Staff and children made donations to come to Nursery wearing either a fancy dress costume or something spotty and parents and staff kindly donated items for a bring-and-buy sale which was run for a whole week.

Money raised so far stands at £154.97.

Nursery Manager Carolyn Laird said “The children and staff thoroughly enjoyed becoming immersed in a spotty, fun, generous, donating day to raise much needed funds for so many families around the country.”

The nursery, described in its last Ofsted inspection report as one where ‘children are happy, confident and have fun’, is popular with families commuting between Milton Keynes, Aylesbury, Buckingham and Leighton Buzzard, as well as those living in surrounding villages.
