The Willen Hospice Marathon runners pulled out all the stops on Sunday 22nd and 29th April at the Virgin London and Milton Keynes Marathons.

73 runners put on their Willen Hospice colours and ran 26.2 miles in these physically and mentally demanding challenges.

Together, the Willen Hospice Marathon team have raised more than £26,000 to help the Hospice continue to provide the free, specialist care and support to their patients and families.

One of the Virgin London Marathon runners, Joanne Campbell, travelled all the way from Australia to take part and this was the first time that Elaine Johnston from the Hospice’s Events and Promotion Team ran in a Marathon, despite organising the Willen Hospice team for the past four years.
