People are being urged to buy a ticket for MK Community Foundation’s Charity Car Raffle on its 25th anniversary.

The raffle is organised in a partnership between the MK Community Foundation, Volkswagen Group UK and thecentre:mk and the 25th anniversary was celebrated in Middleton Hall on Monday.

This year’s grand prize is a superb VW Polo Match, generously donated by Volkswagen Group UK. Thanks to the continued support of thecentre:mk, local voluntary community groups and charities will be raising funds for their organisations outside NEXT in Middleton Hall in the October half term and throughout November and the Christmas period.

Shahnaz Hussain, Voluntary Sector Development Officer told us: “We have raised £986,869 for local voluntary, charities and community groups since the car raffle began. This year our aim is to raise £40,000 and reach our goal of over £1 million raised through the 25 year history of the car raffle.”

100 per cent of the money raised from the tickets goes to local community groups and charities, each group retaining at least 50% of the profits, with the remainder used by the MK Community Foundation in its grant making programme.

Tickets are on sale in Middleton Hall until January 2 or directly from participating community groups.

It’s not too late to register your group to take part, for further information please contact:
