The Get Hired Milton Keynes Careers Fair, brought to you by MK Citizen and Jobstoday, is set to help city jobseekers find their next role on Friday, September 20.
City job hunters will get the chance to meet top employers face-to-face in order to make a personal connection to local businesses, while browsing through real jobs quickly and conveniently.
Visitors can also find out about skills and training opportunities available in the area, which will be a great addition to their CV.
Throughout the day, a number of seminars will be run by the National Careers Service, including workshops on how to improve your CV and interviewing skills.
All of these seminars will be invaluable in helping individuals secure their next job.
The event will take place this Friday from 11am until 3.00pm at MK Dons Stadium, Double Tree by Hilton Hotel, in Bletchley.
MK Citizen and Jobstoday are part of Johnston Press PLC, one of the UK’s leading publishers of over 200 local newspapers and websites.
Promotions of the fair have appeared in all Johnston Press titles in the area, in press and online, ensuring a wide range of exhibitors will be attending, including Beds Uni, P J Care and Baltic Training Services to name but a few.
Joanne Harwood, group category manager at Johnston Press, said: “This is a great opportunity for local candidates to find the job they’ve been looking for.
“By meeting face-to-face with employers in a relaxed and informal setting, they are able to get a much better understanding of the business’ culture and the type of skills and experience needed for the roles advertised.
“We hope that many candidates will come along to take advantage of the wealth of advice on offer and to start making connections with potential future employers.”
Local job seekers are encouraged to attend the event this Friday and take advantage of the opportunities available.
