intu Milton Keynes donates to chldren's ward at MK hospital

intu Milton Keynes has unveiled a new bath hoist at Milton Keynes Hospital's Children's Ward, which the shopping centre has funded.

As part of the shopping centre’s community funding budget, intu Milton Keynes worked with the hospital to identify an area that needed improvement or needed equipment. The bath hoist, which allows children to be moved easily from a bed to a bath, is a vital piece of equipment to assist with staff and give patients better care while on the ward.

“The hospital does an incredible job and we are only too happy to support the children’s ward and the amazing work they do. We hope this small contribution helps the staff and gives children as comfortable an experience as possible.” Said Shelley Peppard, general manager at intu Milton Keynes.

Head of fundraising at the hospital Vanessa Holmes is delighted to have worked with intu in this way.

“We’ve loved working with intu, and being able to show them exactly how their donation has been spent is so fulfilling,” she said.

“The bath hoist is making a tangible and immediate difference to the experience of our patients and we couldn’t be more grateful.

“Working with local companies such as intu is so important to us, as it means we can fund those extra special items that go over and above what the NHS provides.”
