Attention all food lovers - intu Milton Keynes is hosting its first ever food festival this weekend.
Great Taste is taking place on Saturday and Sunday from 11am until 5pm with an array of delicious food and drink on offer.
The Centre will be taken over by food - quite literally as giant vegetables will be wandering the malls!
There will be a live cooking station hosted by Mike Keen, a professional chef who has previously cooked with Jamie Oliver, with demonstrations from the head chefs of well-known local restaurants.
There will also be local food and drink producers, children’s cookery workshops and storytelling sessions with Waterstone’s, all of which is free for visitors to enjoy.
There will also be an abundance of tasters and special offers available from stores within the Centre.
intu Milton Keynes will be presenting the ‘intu Great Taste’ recipe book, in association with its sister Centres from across the UK, featuring recipes from competition winners from each intu Shopping Centre.
The three winning recipes from Milton Keynes are; Chicken Skin Bruschetta from Nonna’s Restaurant in Woburn Sands, Crab cakes in Saffron sauce from Jac Roberts in Milton Keynes and Lobster Malai Curry from Calcutta Brasserie in Stony Stratford.
Martin Hindson, general manager, said: “We are really excited to be hosting our first food festival; Great Taste is all about celebrating the finest food available in our City, especially the local producers and chefs.
“We have lots of fun and interactive elements planned so it’s sure to be one for all the family.”
