Christmas is coming to Bletchley this weekend with a fun packed host of activities for all the family.
Once again Bletchley town centre will closed off to traffic on Sunday and transformed into a winter wonderland for the annual Christmas fayre and lights event.
The event, organised by Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Town Council, will feature Christmas themed activities including entertainment on
the Stanier Square main stage, various stalls, crafts and ice rink, and not forgetting Santa’s grotto located in the bandstand on Elizabeth Square.
The programme for 2014 starts at 2pm and features The Rock Choir, a local school choir, games with compere Richard Allman, and a rendetition of traditional carols and songs by members of St Andrew’s Church Choir.
Entertainment will also come from singer Lucy Allman who is putting in a guest appearance and, for the little ones, there will be an area offering children’s rides which will be located opposite Santa’s grotto.
Queensway High Street will be bustling from top to bottom with something for everyone with crowds eagerly anticipating the arrival of Santa at 5pm, when the Lantern Parade will take its usual route through Fenny Stratford culminating with Santa
switching on the lights in Stanier Square. This will followed by even more entertainment
and festive activities.
Santa’s Grotto will be open from:
> 2pm - 3pm
> 3.30pm - 4.30pm
> 5.15pm - 6pm.
