WELSH heavies Revoker park the tour bus up at The Craufurd Arms this Friday night.
Fans of Metallica and Machine Head will recognise some of the influences being put forward in Revoker’s noise, but theirs is a sound that leans towards the future too.
As guitarist Chris Green says: “It’s the new old school.
“All our influences are classic metal and hard rock bands, but we channel them into our own sound.
“Each song tells a story and has a beginning, middle, and end.
“That keeps things interesting.”
The band recorded with Skindred’s Benji Webbe at the production desk, and took to the road with their fellow Welsh boyo’s – just one tasty live proposition the boys have enjoyed.
They also tore up Download, toured with Soulfly and stage-hopped with artists including Ozzy and Rob Zombie.
Tomorrow night you can enjoy the blast of noise that is paying dividends for the guys.
Support is coming from Free Range Humans, Terakai and Held Beneath.
Tickets are a fiver in advance a quid more on the door, from 7.30pm.
Where else would the discerning muso rather be on a Friday night than stood, pint in hand with a lively soundtrack for company?
The venue doesn’t leave you short on action for the weekend either, with Saturday night given over to A Loss For Words, who have toured the UK more than 20 times, and have been hard at this music making malarkey for more than a decade now.
Go on, show them a little warmth in MK!
Hiding in Reno are back for a one-off special performance in support with more acts to be announced.
Tickets for this gig are £8 in advance.
