Chefs being judged ahead of last year's Milton Keynes Food and Leisure Awards

A tasty treat awaits the industry experts chosen to judge the city’s finest chefs for the Milton Keynes Food and Lesiure awards.

This week it was announced the Citizen’s own Amanda Devlin will join the Mayor of MK Derek Eastman, Phil Fanning from Paris House and chef Paul Eason.

Also judging the cream of the crop will be Trevor Garrod from Savona fine foods for chefs, Chris Gregg director of MKFM, food blogger Jo Kenny and Gavin Sokhi - director of Skyline taxis.

Each chef will be asked to create a starter chosen from a mystery box sponsored by AB Fruits which will feature local produce from the MK area.

The main course will chosen by the chef, and to finish the heated battle, a dessert recipe chosen by the MK college will be given to each chef.

The 2015 live cook off to find the best three chefs in and around Milton Keynes will take place at the Milton Keynes College on April 7, with the top three chefs announced at the glitzy awards on May 10 at the Woburn Sculpture Gallery.
