TIMING is everything, and unfortunately for East London hip-hop collective Lazy Habits, the release of their single Starting Fires was dreadfully ill-timed in 2011.
The eight-piece (yup, we know there’s only five of ‘em in the snap above) saw the track get playlisted on the BBC, which was all good. But then – as a result of the London riots, it was hastily dropped from the radio playlist.
Nonetheless, you can’t keep a good band down, or a good sound quiet, and the mob have pushed forward.
Things are going well enough too.
They supported Doom at the Village Underground earlier in the month, and sold-out London’s Jazz Cafe.
On Saturday, Lazy Habits – whose debut self-titled album is also good to go, will be live at The Craufurd Arms in Wolverton.
The bash is being promoted by Champion Sounds and doors open at 7.30pm.
Tickets are a fiver.
