A series of street clean-ups has begun in the city, with students from Jubilee Wood School and staff from McDonald’s joining forces to improve the area around the Xscape.

Joining up with street warden Rob Harriman and Milton Keynes Council’s cleaning contractor Serco on November 27, the group were treated to complimentary fruit bags and drinks from McDonald’s after the clean-up.

Rob said: “We were delighted with the response to this project and as a group we were able to collect five bags of leaves and ten bags of recycling in just one hour.

“Moving into 2015 we will continue with Keep Britain Tidy and Love Where You Live Projects, and look forward to working with local authorities, schools and businesses to improve the local area.”
