A new award has beenm launched to find Milton Keynes’ most inspiring and dedicated sport and fitness role model.
The Be A Game Changer Awards, by The Gym Milton Keynes, seeks to recognise incredible individuals who dedicate their time to inspiring women to enjoy the benefits of physical activity. First prize is a lifelong membership at The Gym Group.
Melissa Treharne, personal trainer and general manager of The Gym Milton Keynes, said: “Sport and exercise can be a daunting environment, not only for newcomers but also those women who feel they don’t quite fit the mould or have the confidence to wear the right kit.
“We know how powerful role models can be in providing inspiration to friends and the local community to instigate a more physically active lifestyle. Sometimes all it takes is a little belief and encouragement for someone to adopt a healthier lifestyle, reach their goal weight or enjoy a new sport.
“This is why we want to recognise the work of our unsung heroes and heroines living in the City. Whatever your story, we want to hear from you.”
