Tools For Self Reliance (Milton Keynes) has received tools for refurbishment and a cheque for £250 from Bletchley Lions.
The Lions Club of Bletchley collects unwanted tools from local residents and businesses and raises funds for Tools For Self Reliance.
The charity helps adults with special needs to develop themselves and play a more active part in society, by operating a workshop where volunteers refurbish unwanted hand tools, which would otherwise be thrown away.
The tools are then sent to people in developing countries, who use them to earn a living.
Most of the volunteers, who range in age from 18 to 70, live in the Camphill Milton Keynes Communities. They have a variety of learning disabilities, mental health problems and other special needs.
The Lions Club will arrange for tools to be collected and delivered to Tools For Self Reliance.
