HUNDREDS of people will be dancing the night away with television experts next week to raise much-needed cash for Little Lives.
Strictly Come Dancing stars Vincent and Flavia will be guests of honour at the official Little Lives Ball, which has been organised by Milton Keynes hospital for Saturday, March 4.
Guests wanting to try out their dance steps will have a chance to bid for a spin round the floor with one of them.
It is hoped the ball will raise thousands for the hospital’s neonatal unit, whose staff launched the Citizen-backed appeal to raise £250,000 over a year ago.
The money will pay for more cots and more equipment for the unit, which saves the lives of more than 300 sick or premature babies every year.
Already the appeal is well over half way towards it target with less than £100,000 still to raise.
Now the Citizen, together with the hospital, is urging people of all ages to organise their own fund-raising events so we can reach the target by the end of 2011.
We will publicise your ideas and events and there is even a special Citizen trophy for the school or group of school friends that raise the highest amount.
The Little Lives ball will be held at the Hilton in Kents Hill and tickets, priced at £80, are available from Vanessa Bootle on 01908 826690 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
There is a string of fantastic raffle prizes including a tour for four of the Red Bull Racing factory, a private box for 10 at MK Dons stadium, a Chef’s Experience Day at Woburn’s Paris House and a shirt signed by Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg.
