Liverpool football legend Alan Kennedy has been announced as the special guest at a fund-raising lunch in Milton Keynes.

The Milton Keynes Sporting Lunch Club on Friday November 30 will be hoping to raise lots of cash for SportsAid, which helps local young people cover costs associated with training.

Alan Kennedy played in the left back position for Liverpool during the club’s glory days in the 1970s and 80s, scoring the winner in the closing stages against Real Madrid in the 1981 European Cup final.

Lunch organiser Sally Fennemore said: “Alan Kennedy is a great raconteur and has a wealth of amusing and sometimes controversial anecdotes. Be warned that his language is occasionally exactly what was said on the pitch!”

The lunch will be held at Jury’s Inn, Central Milton Keynes, at 12.30pm for 1pm with tickets costing £28.50 per person.
