Local musicians hone their album material

They are also in the middle of recording their first LP, due for release later this year.

Meanwhile, enthusiasts can see them in two support slots over Easter weekend.

On Saturday, April 19, they support talked-about Australian indie/rock outfit The Casters at Bedford Esquires.

And on Sunday, April 20, they support the much-lauded Slaves from kent at the Craufurd Arms in Milton Keynes.

Three of the band’s four members are from Buckingham, with bass player Rob Wilmott, from Badgers, and drummer Tom Carr, from Page Hill, still resident in the town.

Frontman Dan Buckland, who was also born and brought up in Buckingham, now lives in Wolverton.

Guitarist Marc Laskey is from Bletchley.

Dan Buckland said: “We had a bit of industry interest at the start of last year so we decided to record some tracks to see how they came out. We all thought they could have sounded better so we pretty much scrapped about four months of recording last summer.”

Tom Carr said: “As soon as we heard the finished material coming through we knew it didn’t represent us in the way we wanted.

“Our management were very supportive and accepted that we didn’t want to release the recording as it was .”

The band enlisted the help of producer Charles Rees, who works with Paul Weller’s team at Solid Bond Productions.

Rob Wilmott said: “We have recorded half of the tracks for our debut LP and it should be ready for release at the end of the year, but until then we plan on putting out a couple of tunes and playing live so people can hear what we’ve been working on.”
