Appeal to reunite abandoned items with owners

It is hoped that unique belongings which were found abandoned will be reunited with their owner, say police.

A white vase was found by a PCSO in the Market Square, Olney, on Saturday, March 8 and is described as a ‘distinct’.

An old school book, entitled ‘Poetry and Artwork’ and believed to be dated from 1930, was also found by a member of the public in a car park in Stony Stratford on Monday, January 6.

Officers are now hoping to reunite both items with its rightful owner, but the have only today sent out an appeal to track them down.

Station Duty Officer Rick Williams said: “These are distinct items and proof of identity and ownership will of course be needed at the time of collection from Newport Pagnell police station.”
