Attack victims disfigured for life

Police appeal for witnesses

Police have stepped up their appeal for witnesses of two separate attacks at Opus nightclub which left the victims with facial injuries for life.

The casualty of the most recent assault has only just been discharged from hospital but is permanently disfigured.

He was assaulted at about 1.50am on Sunday April 12 by a black man wearing a yellow patterned 'Henley' T shirt, jeans and trainers.

And in a different incident at the club - at about 1am Sunday March 29 - another man was attacked by up to three men.

"He suffered a broken cheekbone on both sides and a broken upper jaw on both sides. This resulted in the jaw being wired and the insertion of metal plates, which will be permanent."
