The top man at The Open University will speak to businesses at a breakfast meeting on Thursday, January 17.
Martin Bean, Vice-Chancellor of the worldwide educational institution based in Milton Keynes, will start off the 2013 programme of Business Breakfast meetings at The Open University Business School.
Mr Bean, formerly general manager within Microsoft’s Worldwide Education Products Group, will be speaking about the role higher education can play in stimulating economic growth and the importance of developing stronger relationships with business at regional, national and international levels.
He will discuss the opportunities and challenges presented by technological developments, the need for constant evolution and innovation, and how The Open University is working with some of the UK’s biggest employers to deliver the skills needed to get the economy moving again.
The event starts at 8.30am at The Open University Business School, Walton Hall, Milton Keynes.
