Thames Valley Police officers were called to the playing field at Marley Grove at 3.41am after reports that a man’s body had been discovered.

Paramedics declared the man dead at 3.56am.

Investigations are continuing and next of kin has yet to be informed.

Crownhill resident Dawn Shaw saw police removing the body.

She said: “I walked past the park on my way to the shop this morning and saw three police officers stood by a cordon with blue tape.

“I asked the officers what had happened and they said that from a security point of view not to worry.”
