Cash and bank card stolen in knifepoint robbery

A MAN had £210 and his bank card stolen from him after being threatened with a knife by three men in Fishermead on Tuesday.

At 9.15am the 25-year-old was walking on Perran Avenue when he saw a man sitting on a wall who asked him for a light. Two more men then approached him from behind, threatened him with a knife and searched his pockets before taking the money and his bank card. The victim was not hurt.

The three men are black and the first is in his early twenties, 5ft 11in, medium build, wearing a light grey sports jumper with a bright blue logo on the left side of the chest, very light blue jeans and new bright white trainers.

The second is in his late fifties and was wearing a jacket with a zip in the front, navy blue arms and white and blue diamond shapes on the body. He also wore dark shiny shell suit tracksuit bottoms and black Nike trainers.

The third is around 6ft tall, and was wearing a hooded, black Adidas jumper with red stripes down the arms and on the hood. The hood was up but underneath he wore a black and green baseball cap, he was also wearing dark jeans.

Detective Constable Samantha Reynolds from Milton Keynes police station said: “We take this type of offence very seriously.

“Robberies often leave victims extremely distressed and traumatised, so I want to make it clear that anyone caught committing this type of crime will be dealt with robustly.

“This is a very serious crime, with robberies carrying a maximum sentence of life depending on the circumstances, and we will make sure we investigate any incidents which are reported to us thoroughly.
