People looking to get rid of their used Christmas trees are invited to take them to Frosts.
Up until the end of January, people can take their trees to the Woburn Sands garden centre where staff will take them off to the chipper for free – regardless of whether you bought the tree there or not.
Last year more than 1,000 trees were transformed into mulch and turned into a giant compost heap.
This year more than 3,000 trees were sold by the garden centre, so managing director James Frost (pictured) and his team are expecting an even better return.
He said: “It’s quite satisfying putting a tree through the machine, but equally so to know that it is being recycled to a good use.”
