City businessman rubs shoulders with royalty
Internet TV company about MK gets the thumbs up at Buckingham Palace
A city businessman was invited to a Garden Party hosted by the Queen in recognition of his work as a community ambassador.
Lincoln Bedeau, 40, of Newport Pagnell and fiancee Helen Whitehouse were
among special guests who visited Buckingham Palace last Tuesday.
Lincoln, who has been honoured for work he has contributed to the city, is the managing director of internet TV company askMK which has given countless youngsters their break in the media industry.
He is also on the board of Milton Keynes College and works tirelessly to
promote community enterprise events in the city.
He told the Citizen being invited to the Palace was one of the highlights of his career.
"It's not every day one is invited to Buckingham Palace to be in the presence of Her Majesty the Queen," said Lincoln.
"To be recognised for the contribution askMK TV has made to our community is one thing, but it's quite another to be given the opportunity to celebrate that recognition in the company of royalty
and international dignitaries.
"It shows just how far we have come since we started nine years ago.
"Our mission to promote everything that is positive about Milton Keynes is only made possible with strong community relationships and by constantly evolving as media technology changes.
"Having a great team that shares and believes in our vision, and the way in which we achieve our goals, is key to our success."
