A CAMPAIGN to keep needy people from feeling the chill this winter has been given a warm-hearted boost by Dame Cleo Laine.
Cleo this week donated her Winter Fuel Payment to the MK Community Foundation;s Surviving Winter Appeal.
The foundation has been awarded up to £24,000 in match funding from the Government, so every £1 donation, plus gift aid, is worth £2.50.
The money will buy food, clothing, duvets and heating for people in need.
