Denbigh School evacuated after lab fire

Staff and pupils at Denbigh School had to be evacuated today after a small fire in one of the science labs.

Just after 9.30am this morning the alarm was raised and firefighters from Great Holm attended the scene. The fire had been put out by the time firefighters arrived and the school had carried out a safe evacuation.

Firefighters made sure the room was well ventilated before giving fire safety advice.
