Disabled parking bays cut in Milton Keynes

Disabled drivers looking to park at Central Milton Keynes Railway Station are furious as Milton Keynes Council has cut 30 per cent of the disabled parking bays.

“No Waiting” signs have been posted on three disabled bays, so that a private window contractor can park their vehicles instead. With only seven bays now in operation, disabled drivers face an early morning race to get parked so that they can catch their train. Meanwhile, nearby, the four parking bays for taxis lay idle.

It just doesn’t make sense to ban disabled drivers from their own parking bays and allow a contractor to park for free.
