A caring city woman has set up a new animal ambulance service to deal with canine emergencies.
Jayne Coleman is already trained to give first response medical care to injured or sick animals.
Now she has invested in a fully fitted van to ferry dogs of all sizes to veterinary surgeries for a fee.
Her service will replace the city’s previous animal ambulance, whose founder Ian Fletcher died last year.
Said Jayne: “I spoke to all the vets in Milton Keynes and they confirmed they have a lot of distressed pet owners who find it impossible to get the help they need to transport their dogs quickly and safely to the vets.”
Clients may be unable to drive, housebound, or worried about to taking their pet on a bus.
Jayne, who runs a doggy day care and dog walking service, has already made several SOS trips in the ambulance.
“My service has already proved invaluable to two local residents this week alone...One day it just might save a dog’s life,” she said.
