Dorcas Lane windfarm application to be heard in March

TWO more reports have been submitted to Milton Keynes Council in a bid to prevent a windfarm being built near Stoke Hammond.

Members of the Stop Dorcas Lane Turbines fighting the proposal to build the farm have handed over reports regarding access to the site and about the bats that live in the area.

The council confirmed that Force 9’s application was submitted earlier in December after months of inactivity, delivering what could be an unwanted Christmas present for the locals.

Planners from the Strategic Development Control committee will meet on March 1, 2012 to consider the application.

“At least we now know when our fate will be decided,” said Joseph Cresswell, Deputy Chairman of the SDLT. “It looks likely the final decision will be made at a Planning meeting on March 2013.

“Between now and then, SDLT will refute the false and misleading claims from the developer and ensure that Aylesbury Vale District Council hears of the overwhelming local opposition.”
