A DRIVER threatened another driver with an extendable baton during a dangerous driving incident in Bletchley on Saturday.

Just after 5pm, a 24-year-old man was driving his silver Renault Megane around the Kellys Kitchen roundabout towards Watling Street, when he was cut up on the road by a black BMW.

He flashed his headlights at the BMW and the car immediately stopped causing the Megane to brake hard.

The BMW driver then followed the Megane, driving dangerously close before overtaking the Megane and braking hard again, causing the Megane to stop suddenly.

He then got out of the car and threatened the driver of the Megane with an extendable baton. As it passed, he damaged a rear light.

The offender is white, around 40-years-old, 5ft 10ins and of a stocky build. He was wearing a black jacket and dark denim jeans.

The car is possibly a 5 series with FE51, FE53, YE51 or YE53 at the start of the registration.

Investigating officer PC Ian Smith said: “This was an unprovoked and terrifying incident for the victim to be involved in.

“The victim is a male of reasonable firmness but he was brought to tears by the behaviour of the offender and has been extremely shaken up by the event.

“Any information members of the public can provide to trace the BMW involved would be much appreciated.”

Anyone with information can contact PC Smith on 101.
