A driver was taken to hospital with minor chest injuries after a collision in which the other car involved failed to stop at the scene.

Thames Valley Police is now appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened on February 3 at the Grafton Gate Roundabout, off of Midsummer Boulevard.

The collision was between a black VW and a black Skoda Octavia taxi, and caused the taxi to leave the carriageway and hit a street sign.

The VW failed to stop at the scene and continued to travel along Midsummer Boulevard, towards the city centre despite suffering damage to the front of the vehicle, leaving traceable debris behind.

The driver of the Skoda received minor chest injuries and was released from Milton Keynes General Hospital the next day.

Any witnesses who saw the incident can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
