Fatal collision in Newport Pagnell

A man has died after his Jaguar car was involved in a collision with a lorry in Newport Pagnell today.

Police are appealing for information following the fatal collision, which happened on the northbound carriageway of the A509 near Chicheley Hill at about 8am.

Sadly, the driver of the blue Jaguar was pronounced dead at the scene, say police. His next of kin have been informed.

The lorry driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Fire and ambulance services were called to the scene and the road was closed between Newport Pagnell and Olney until 2pm.

Investigating officer PC James Lacey from the MK Roads Policing Unit said: “I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision, has footage of the collision, or saw either vehicle before the collision to contact police as soon as possible.”
