An invitation to cut the ribbon at the newly refurbished Fishermead Trinity Centre was eagerly accepted by Milton Keynes North MP, Mark Lancaster.

The centre had been virtually untouched since its construction in 1979 and so a modern and functional building was clearly the new vision.

Work got underway with a crucial £75,000 grant from WREN, a not-for-profit business who award grants for community, conservation and heritage projects. Centre Project Manager Tony Lovelock, said, “It has been an ambitious project and we have worked hard to achieve our goals. I am thrilled to be able to share our multipurpose halls, new meeting room and community garden project with the local community”

Mark added: “When communities work tirelessly with a focus and a purpose, then the rewards are endless.

“The centre is once again a hub of excitement and will provide vital resources for Fishermead and its surrounding communities”.
