Olympic long jump champion Greg Rutherford is set to swap his gold medal for a wooden spoon as he takes part in The Great Sport Relief Bake Off next week.

The London 2012 hero will do battle with the likes of cycling champion Victoria Pendleton, singer Michael Ball, actress Samantha Bond and former England cricket captain Michael Vaughan in the competition judged by cookery writer Mary Berry and master baker Paul Hollywood.

A total of 16 celebrities will compete across four shows on BBC Two from January 13-16.

The last Great Sport Relief Bake Off in 2012 was won by radio and TV presenter Anita Rani.

Greg, who shot to fame following his London 2012 triumph, has made no secret of his love for baking in the past, often posting pictures of his creations on Twitter.

Sport Relief takes place from March 21-23.
