A CLUBBER was hospitalised for Christmas after he was smashed over the head with a glass bottle at Wonderworld nightclub on Sunday.

Two men got into an argument at around 1.30am and it ended with a 19-year-old suffering deep cuts to his head as well as injuries to his neck.

He was taken to hospital, where he remains now.

The other man is white, about 5ft 8ins tall, in his early twenties with short blonde hair. He was wearing blue jeans.

Investigating officer PC Joe Wiffen said: “This incident would have been witnessed by a lot of people in the club.

“Due to the severity of the attack, we are keen to talk to anyone who saw it happen. It left the victim badly injured.”

Any witnesses can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111
