Gold jewellery stolen from Monkston home

Thieves climbed onto a conservatory roof during the day to force their way through a window - just one day after a man was seen taking photos of the house.

It happened on Monday between 8.30am and 3.15pm in Tewkesbury Lane, Monkston, when offenders got in through a rear first floor window.

After an untidy search of the home they stole a safe containing gold jewellery, which was later found empty near Campbell Park.

On Sunday, the day before the burglary, a man was seen photographing the property before getting into a small silver car, which has been described as possibly being a Skoda Fabia.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses and ask that if you have any information about the burglary or the man that was seen on Sunday, contact Det Con Samantha Reynolds from Milton Keynes police station via the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101.

If you don’t want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.

No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
