Extraordinary science experiments with Professor Beamish, fascinating magic lantern shows and the chance to make your own peg doll are among the attractions.

All the musum’s hands-on favourites will also be available, including playing music the way the Victorians did, attending classes in the Victorian schoolroom, making hot buttered toast over the range, brass-rubbing, taking a seat in the stocks and sending morse code.

The granary cafe will be open as usual.

Find out why visitors have voted the museum the number one thing to do in Milton Keynes on TripAdvisor, with one parent calling it: “The best museum we’ve been to in terms of hands-on stuff. I had to drag my five children out.”

The museum is open from 11am to 4.30pm every day during half term.
