Have your say on modern sports pavilion plans

RESIDENTS are being urged to have their say on ambitious plans for a modern new sports pavilion in the city.

The proposed facility would include a FIFA standard one star, full size artificial pitch, as well as changing facilities. Further developments would then be made in stages as more funds become available.

They could include Padel Tennis Courts and a bar and social area for players.

The plans for the site, close to the former National Hockey Stadium and the new Network Rail HQ, have been on display at CMK Railway Station, Midsummer Place and thecentre:mk.

There is also a display at Central Milton Keynes Library.

The deadline for people to have their say is November 19, after which the council will look at responses, before moving on to the next stage of seeking planning permission.

Paul Sanders, Assistant Director for Community Facilities, said: “There is a clear and identified need for a facility of this type in Central Milton Keynes and a location like this would not only serve the CMK residents and workers, but it would meet a borough and potentially a region-wide demand too.”

See the council website to view the Exhibition boards.

There is also a link to a questionnaire from developers.
