How to protect your pets in the summer months

Pet owners can attend a free workshop on how to protect animals during the sun and heat this summer.

Pets At Home Bletchley will run the event on Sunday, July 13 from 2-3pm. Staff will cover a range of topics, such as walking pets in the heat, keeping them hydrated, and safety measures for travelling with our furry friends during the summer months.

Shauna Price, assistant store manager, said: “As the weather heats up some independent animals, like cats, will naturally find their own cool, shady spots when they get too hot, whereas others like dogs and rabbits aren’t so proactive.

“This workshop will give pet owners information on the extra measures they need to take, in order to keep pets healthy and safe, so that they can enjoy the summer together.”
