Inquest opens into death of pedestrian killed crossing V11 Tongwell Street

An inquest into the death of Victoria Rhodes, who was killed crossing the V11 on Monday, was officially opened this morning.

Victoria, 21, who lived in Caldecotte, died after a collision with a black Peugeot at 8.15am on Monday morning as she attempted to cross the V11 Tongwell Street between the H6 Childs Way and the H7 Chaffron Way.

The inquest heard police were called and on arrival found Miss Rhodes’ body laying in the middle of the road.

The inquest was adjourned until September 18 this year.
