A SCHOOLBOY who was mugged at knifepoint by four older men is terrified to go back to school and take his exams after his attackers sought him out a second time.

Jake Hayward, 16, was chased through the streets of New Bradwell after lessons on Monday.

He is positive the men were the same gang who held a knife to his throat just metres away from his Stantonbury Campus school last November.

His mum Sarah said: “It was during the lunchbreak and Jake was walking around with a friend near the Astroturf when the men surrounded him.

“They asked if he knew anyone they could get some drugs from. When Jake said no, one of them produced a knife and held it to Jake’s throat and chest.”

The teenager was knocked to the ground and punched and kicked before the culprits made off with his school bag containing his phone, bus pass and school planner.

Police investigated the attack and even showed Jake mugshots of suspects – who he was unable to identify. No arrests have yet been made.

Now Jake’s mum , who lives in New Bradwelll is hoping fresh evidence of Monday’s chase, possibly recorded on CCTV, will help trace the men who are hounding her son,

“He’s doing his GCSE’s but he’s scared to go to school now,” she said.

Anyone with information should call police on non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
