The youngest member of Milton Keynes library has taken out his very first book.

Kaylan Edward Wright is just two-and-a-half months but already has a keen eye for a good story and picked out ‘Peppa goes to the Library’ as his first read with his new library card, which was registered over the festive period.

Mum Jo Chesney, from Bletchley, said she can’t wait to help Kaylan learn to read.

She said: “I’ve always loved reading and have been a member of the library for 19 years.

“It’s great that Kaylan is able to enjoy all of the wonderful children’s books they have from an early age and I’m looking forward to reading with him as he grows up.”

Emma Carrick, senior librarian at Central Milton Keynes Library, said: “It is wonderful when new members join the library service.

“We are delighted that Kaylan has become our youngest member.”
