Man, 73, threatened with knife during robbery

A 73-YEAR-OLD man was threatened with a knife during a robbery in a Bletchley alleyway on Sunday.

At around 4pm he was walking down an alley way off Kincardine Drive leading to Ayr Way when he was approached by three men on the grass area in between Kincardine Drive and Pebbles Way.

They asked how he was in a friendly manner then crowded around him before one of the men pulled out a knife from his right wrist band and pointed it towards him.

A second man then took £140 cash from his pocket, whilst the man with the knife told him to remove his two rings which he did.

The offenders then walked back towards the grass area next to Pebbles Place.

The men are all black. The first is 5ft 9ins, of slightly muscular build, 18 to 25-years-old wearing a grey hooded top with grey tracksuit bottoms.

The second is 5ft 9ins, of average build 18 to 25-years-old wearing blue jeans with a dark blue hooded top.

The third offender is 6ft 2ins, with a stocky muscular build, between 18 to 25-years-old wearing a grey hooded top with blue jeans.

Detective Constable Wendy Cissell, of Local CID in Milton Keynes, said: “Thankfully the victim was unharmed in this incident however we take this type of offence very seriously and an offender can expect to spend up to seven years in prison if they rob someone threatening to hurt them with a weapon.

“Robberies often leave victims extremely distressed and traumatised, so I want to make it clear that anyone caught committing this type of crime will be dealt with robustly.

“This is a very serious crime, with robberies carrying a maximum sentence of life depending on the circumstances, and we will make sure we investigate any incidents which are reported to us thoroughly.

“I am appealing to anyone who has information about this incident to contact us via 101.

“Finally I would like to remind people to take care of their personal safety by following the below crime prevention advice.”
