Man arrested in connection with early morning assault

A 49-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and released on bail in connection with an assault in Stony Stratford on Sunday.

Between 1am and 1.30am, a 49-year-old woman was assaulted by a man outside The George Inn, in High Street which saw her knocked down giving her a cut to her eyebrow, which required treatment at Milton Keynes Hospital.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to call them on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
