A Milton Keynes man managed to stop his home being burgled when he disturbed someone trying to get in through a window.
At about 12.50pm on Wednesday a man in his sixties returned to his home in Nuneham Grove, Westcroft to hear the blinds rattling in his kitchen.
He went to investigate and saw the shape of a man behind the window with his hand reaching through.
The offender then fled empty handed in the direction of the local shops.
He has been described as black, about 5ft 11ins tall, of stocky build with short curly hair, wearing a pink shirt and dark trousers.
