A man has been jailed for two years after a serious sexual assault, after which he will be deported to Zimbabwe.

Stanford Lewis Chinyemba of Redbridge, Stantonbury, was sentenced to two years in prison at Aylesbury Crown Court on Monday, after he was found guilty of sexual assault.

At about 3.45am on July 22 last year, Chinyemba sexually assaulted a woman, who was enjoying a night out with a friend, outside the Royal Bank of Scotland in the theatre district of Milton Keynes.

Investigating officer, PC Gavin Toney said: “I am glad that Chinyemba is now off the streets so he does not have the ability to commit a similar or worse offence.

“This incident has had a lasting effect on the victim. I hope the sentencing of Chinyemba brings some closure to her.”
