Man suffers chest pains after burglary

A man was taken to hospital after suffering chest pains and shock after five people broke into his Oldbrook home during a robbery.

The incident happened on Thursday around 9pm when the five men smashed their way into a house in The Boundary, to find the man and a woman, both in their fifties,

All five men were wearing dark clothing with their faces covered with scarves. They searched the house, while the couple were still in there, taking high value Asian jewellery and a large amount of cash.

They then drove away from the scene in what was believed to be a dark-coloured BMW 1 series.

After the incident the man, who is 54, suffered shock and chest pains and was taken to Milton Keynes General Hospital for treatment.

Detective Inspector Suzette Allcorn of Milton Keynes Local CID said: “This type of incident is rare in Milton Keynes and a team of dedicated officers are investigating to locate these offenders.

“I would like to reassure the public that we have increased patrols in this area and encourage any members of the local community to approach officers if they have any concerns after this unsettling incident.”
